Tess MacDougall joins the DMZ as the new Events & Operations Coordinator. She has over a decade of experience in administration, communications, and project management across Indigenous governance, non-profit organizations, and leadership consulting. She has helped organize a variety of multi-stakeholder events, including community consultation sessions, leadership off-sites and town halls, and ceremonial salmon releases. Tess’ work style blends creative problem-solving with collaboration, helping keep complex initiatives and people moving smoothly. She’s excited to bring both a strong work ethic and a good-humoured approach to the team to support the DMZ’s entrepreneurs, founders, and innovators. Tess holds a Master’s degree in Classics from Queen’s University and a postgraduate diploma in Museum & Cultural Management from Centennial College. Born and raised in Toronto’s east end, Tess has a love for reading literary fiction and magical realism, baking bread, and doing karaoke as frequently as she can.
